Meet The Team

At Lucy Pet Carer, we have a fully qualified and highly dedicated team who take on a personal approach when it comes to looking after your pets, giving them the love and care they deserve.

Qualified Hydrotherapist, Owner and founder of Lucy Pet Carer

Lucy founded Lucy Pet Carer over 15 years ago. She is vastly experienced in doggy day care, dog walking and pet sitting. Lucy has also worked in a veterinary practice and is a Labrador breeder.

Lucy has built up Lucy pet carer for the last 17 years and is about to open the rehabilitation side this year after completing her course and qualifying 2 years ago. Lucy has 5 dogs and 2 children with a passion for rehabilitation and rescue work. Any spare time is enjoyed socialising or holidays.

Kennel Manager and Dog Behaviourist

I wanted to work with dogs all my life, I have read endless dog psychology books and through fate ended up taking my dream course of Dog Psychology and Behavioural Training Diploma Level 4 and practical. I have 2 beautiful boys a Labrador and a Pug.

Assistant Kennel Manager

I spent 3 years at Lackham College doing Animal Care. I have a passion for German Shepherds and Dachshunds. I started at Lucy Pet Carer in 2014 as a pet carer and worked to be an Assistant Kennel Manager and now I'm currently training as the Team Leader.

Trainee Hydrotherapist & Senior Pet Carer

Sam started with Lucy Pet Carer in September 2017 to become a Pet Carer. Sam has recently gained her Human first Aid certificate. She has an Animal Diploma in Animal Care Qualification and a Level 2 in dog grooming. She has a keen interest in Canine Hydrotherapy and as this has always been a dream job of hers, it has finally been able to happen as Sam is currently training to join the team in the new Hydrotherapy Centre which is opening this year.
Sam spends her spare time caring for her two cats. She enjoys a mixture of hobbies that include running, badminton and swimming.

Junior Handler

I started working at Lucy Pet Carer in July 2018 after doing work experience. I'm currently studying A-Level Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology at Cirencester College, with the ambition of going onto study Veterinary Medicine at university in September 2020. I've learnt so much during my time here and love getting to know the individual quirks of all the dogs that spend time with us. As well as working hard, Susie likes to go swimming and teach herself acoustic guitar.

Tracy started at Lucy Pet Carer in September 2014 as the Receptionist. Originally from an administration background, she is now semi-retired and works part-time for us doing all the accounts and bookings relating to Daycare and Boarding. She has always had dogs, from Spaniels to Labradors and is now the proud owner of Paddington, a Golden Retriever and Roo a Cocker Spaniel. Tracy's hobbies include walking daily in Lydiard Park and visiting Cumbria as much as possible throughout the year.

Senior Handler & Behaviourist

Chloe started at Lucy Pet Carer in January 2016 to become a Pet Carer. She left us in 2017 to work in a veterinary practice but missed the dogs so much she came back in 2018 to continue her training in dog behaviour. She now has passed not only her dog first aid but various levels within the dog behaviour courses. Chloe can help with recall, sensible lead walking, and various training techniques. In her spare time she enjoys photography, travel and socialising as well as putting her hand to various beauty techniques. She can also help with any pet portraits you would love to do.

Senior Handler & Behaviourist

My name is Emma, I started working as a Junior Handler in 2017 and soon worked to become a Senior Handler. I have completed many course since starting: Level 3 Animal Care, Canine First Aid, Level 4 Canine Aggression, Level 4 Canine Behaviour and Practitioner and a 2 day Canine Practical Course. I am currently working on my Level 5 Canine Behaviour and Practitioner Course, I will then look to complete my Level 6. I am currently looking to gain more experience in dog behaviour and extend my knowledge.

I have a 5 year old spaniel called Marley. My hobbies includes photography, media makeup and dog training!

This is Jamie, Jamie started at Lucy Pet Carer in 2019 doing work experience for part of his course at Lackham College. He’s been a very valued member of the team and has recently joined the team officially on a part-time basis whilst he completes his course, studying within the insect sector of the animal care world.
